Nuezca, during an altercation, shot Sonia Gregorio, 52, and her son Frank Anthony Gregorio, 25, in the head at Purok 2, Brgy. Cabayaoasan in Paniqui, Tarlac.

The crime was caught on video and has now become viral. The video showed the victims and the suspect having a heated discussion.

In the four-minute video, the relatives of both parties were trying to calm the victims and suspects. Nuesca has not been saying much during the discussion but was seen holding something on his waist and was keeping his distance close to the victims.

A female, who was also taking a video of the incident, then shouted and said that his father was a policeman. She was then identified as the suspect’s daughter.

Sonia then answered back sarcastically and said, “I don’t care eh-eh-eh,” mocking her through a Korean song “I Don’t Care.”

Nuesca then said, “P****g i** ka! Gusto mo tapusin na kita ngayon? (You son of a b***! You want me to finish you now?) and without a word shot the mother in the head, then her son.

The victims instantly fell on the ground, but the police officer again shot the mother before fleeing the scene.

According to Police Lt. Col. Noriel Rombaoa, chief of the Paniqui police, Nuezca confronted Rufino, who allegedly used “boga,” an improvised noisemaker made from a PVC pipe.

“Pumunta yung police sa bahay ng biktima at nagkaroon ng pagtatalo, naungkat ang matagal na nilang alitan sa right-of-way,” he said.

However, during the argument, an old issue of right-of-way resurfaced, which further fueled the fight.

Rombaoa said the suspect did not say anything more except that he regrets shooting the mother and son. He said police are preparing to file a complaint of double murder against Nuezca.

The shooting came after PNP chief Debold Sinas ordered them to skip the practice of taping the muzzles of their service firearms as a preventive measure against indiscriminate firing.

Sinas said the tape would not stop cops from firing their guns if they really wanted to and that the tape could affect how the police officers respond to incidents.
