Jang Lucero murder case update: Girlfriend personally knows possible suspects

Jang Lucero murder case update: A police official said that Jang Lucero and her girlfriend personally know the possible suspects involved in the Laguna lady driver’s brutal killing last week.

“Kilalalang kilala niya [she really knows them],” Police Lieutenant Colonel Gene Licud, chief of the Calamba Police Station, said in an interview on Dobol B sa News TV.

When asked if Lucero’s girlfriend also knew the persons involved, Lucid replied, “Kilala din po [she also knows them].”

The official also said they already identified the three persons seen on CCTV footage who met with Jang Lucero at a fast-food restaurant and boarded her car.

Initial investigations revealed Lucero sidelined as a “transporter” after she lost her job due to the pandemic. It was reported that she transported three passengers from Calamba to Gil Puyat, Makati. She was found dead with 52 stab wounds inside her car on Bypass Road in Calamba.

According to Jang’s girlfriend, Meyah Amatorio, the victim told her Sunday night that she would transport three passengers from Laguna to Gil Puyat in Metro Manila.

After a few hours, Meyah said she repeatedly called Jang’s cellphone, but the victim was not answering until she decided to call the police. There they were asked to go to the police and station and informed of what happened to Jang.

Licud appealed to the suspects to surrender to the police.

Huwag nang hintayin na kami ang kukuha sa kanila dahil baka masaktan sila,” he said.
