Policeman allegedly aimed gun at person he was arguing with in QC

A policeman who went berserk allegedly pointed a gun at a man he argued with in Quezon City and said he would kill him.

A viral video shows the incident on April 29, Sunday, where a police corporal was seen fighting with alias Ronnie, brother-in-law of the policeman’s girlfriend, in Barangay Pasong Tamo.

Before the incident, the police allegedly threw a helmet at his girlfriend and hit Ronnie’s gate. But on the second occasion of the stoning, it was the girlfriend who was hit and got into an argument after Ronnie complained.

Ronnie was caught in Kampo Karingal with his live-in partner, who is the brother of the police corporal’s girlfriend, to file another complaint against the police.

According to the victim, this is not the first time the said policeman went berserk, especially when under the influence of alcohol, so they have previously filed a complaint against him.

But of the nearly 40 times the police allegedly went berserk, this was said to be the first time a gun was aimed at someone.

According to the person who took the video, the police reportedly blamed them for their previous cases against him for not being able to continue his promotion.

The QCPD assured that the police, who were allegedly assigned to the QCPD Station 14 drug enforcement unit, would be held accountable.

The cellphone video is said to be sufficient evidence, so there is a possibility that the police will be removed from service if the allegations against him are substantiated.

The police corporal is scheduled to be assigned to the QCPD holding and accounting unit while his case is being heard.

Some of the cases the police face are grave threat, grave misconduct and conduct unbecoming of a police officer, and violation of the code of ethical standards for public officials.

In January, a policeman was charged after allegedly shooting a student in Quezon City while drunk.

The QCPD also discovered that there appeared to be a cover-up done by the two police officers who investigated the case.
