Mariel Rodriguez clarifies drip in Senate office Vit C, not gluta

Mariel Rodriguez Padilla clarified on Saturday that she did not endorse glutathione drips during her time in the office of her spouse, Senator Robinhood Padilla.

Through a Facebook video, she offered an apology to anyone upset by her earlier post.

“I-clear na natin… Nagpunta po ako sa Senate for the Eddie Garcia bill, hindi po ako nakikipunta doon lagi kasi full time mom ako. Sobrang pinaghirapan ng asawa ko ang bill na yan, I was there to support him,” said Rodriguez during one of her online selling videos.

She insisted she used a vitamin C infusion, not a glutathione drip.

“Every week I have a Vitamin C drip. Inisip nyo po na glutathione ‘yung ating ginagawa… Vitamin C po iyon,” said Rodriguez.

“Never ko pong intention na mambastos o whatever. My intention was to show that no matter how busy you are, prinaprioritize pa rin natin ang paglalagay ng bitamina sa ‘ting katawan… I had no intention whatsoever to disrespect the Senate.”

She mentioned her behavior wasn’t insulting because that’s her spouse’s workplace.

“In my head I was in my husband’s office. I felt na safe place ‘yun kasi opisina ng asawa ko,” said Rodriguez. “May mga naoffend, so I deleted that post. But I never ever said that I was taking gluta. It was vitamin C.”

“I’m saying sorry sa mga na-offend… Now I’m going back to my live selling, yung mag-hate pa diyan, okay go.”

Senator Robin Padilla just laughed at the series of criticisms he received during his wife Mariel Rodriguez’s “drip session” while in the Senate.

This followed Rodriguez’s visit to Padilla’s office to give support to the Eddie Garcia Bill being passed.

“Nakakatawa naman po ang political isyu na ‘yan, my goodness. Kung may nakita po silang masama sa larawan na ‘yan, paumanhin po. No Intention of disrespect. My wife loves to promote good looks and good health,” the senator said.

In Rodriguez’s deleted live video on his social media this Thursday, February 22, it can be seen that he was inside Padilla’s office in the Senate while finishing his “glutathione drip session” that garnered various comments from netizens.
