According to Malaya, the investigation will find out if the offer is just a scam or if the individual actually has an accomplice in the local government to allegedly sell the slot.

Malaya refused to name the suspect because the Philippine National Police is said to be scheduled to announce it.

[A]ll of those who are proven to have been involved in this scam or illegal activity will be prosecuted with the fullest extent of the law,” said Malaya.

Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos said they have already contacted the National Bureau of Investigation for an investigation but he could not elaborate.
