Siblings surrender in murder of child in Bacoor surrendered

Three siblings have surrendered in the murder of a 12-year-old boy in Bacoor City, Cavite.

Nine days after the killing of young Prince Louis Albaniel, the suspects are already in jail.

The suspects also allegedly assaulted the victim’s 14-year-old friend.

According to the youngest suspect, they were having a drink on May 17 and were on their way home when they passed by the two victims.

He allegedly asked the two young men why they were still outside. The two victims allegedly got angry and cursed at him, so he got angry and stabbed the children.

The suspect first slit the throat of the 14-year-old, but it was Albaniel who was severely injured, resulting in his death.

It was 2 in the morning when the family of the 12-year-old was told what had happened, and he was worried about his friend.

The father of the 12-year-old searched for the child and found blood on the street just 50 meters away from their house.

When he followed the blood trail, the father saw the slipper on the bridge, and in the middle of the darkness, they looked for it and then found the corpse on the side of the river.

The victim received up to 18 stab wounds to various parts of the body.

When he fled, he allegedly caught up with his two older brothers, and the three of them thought to stay away. From that night until the afternoon of May 18, he and his brother just walked until they reached the mountain.

His older brothers allegedly blamed him and said he had to surrender. But because he didn’t want to, it took them a few days in the mountains until they contacted their mother and asked for help from their friend, the barangay chairman of Niyog-3.

The suspects apologized to the family, but the victim’s mother, Vangie Albaniel, was not convinced by what the siblings said.

According to Vangie, he cannot forgive the siblings. The three suspects underwent inquest and are being held in the Bacoor PNP jail.

The suspects are set to be charged with murder, frustrated murder, and robbery because the 12-year-old victim’s cellphone went missing and was also allegedly taken by the siblings.
