QC cop robs remittance center in Bulacan

A remittance center in San Miguel, Bulacan, was robbed by a man wearing a helmet. During the follow-up operation, the suspect was arrested and turned out to be a policeman assigned to Quezon City.

In a report by Emil Sumangil on GMA News “24 Oras” on Tuesday, CCTV footage was shown as the lone robber cleared the money at the remittance center on Monday.

After getting the money, the culprit fled on a black motorcycle.

Police in Bulacan immediately conducted a search operation until the suspect was located and later identified as Police Corporal Moises Yango.

When Yango was caught, he was allegedly spying on another remittance center in San Ildefonso.

Yango was found with his gun, the money stolen from the remittance center, a grenade, and a QCPD ID.

Authorities suspect Yango is also possibly behind the robbery at a remittance center in Nueva Ecija.

The suspect explained that he became involved in criminal activity when he became involved in online cockfighting and fell victim to a pyramid scheme.

PNP chief General Guillermo Eleazar promised that Yango would be fired and a case would be filed.

Messenger, 1 of 2 who won P55-M in Ultra Lotto 6/58

Another of the two who hit the Ultra Lotto 6/58 draw in March also got a share of their prize pool of P55,075,262.80.

In a statement from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office available on their website, the winner was a messenger, and he bought his winning ticket at Las Piñas City.

The draw on March 23 for Ultra Lotto 6/58 with a combination of 16-27-08-05-12-23 was hit by the lucky messenger and another bettor.

Due to the hardships of life, one of his children allegedly stopped studying to help them with work.

The messenger allegedly plans to buy their dream house, build a store business and send his children to school.

It was found out that the messenger had previously hit five numbers in the jackpot and continued to bet on his numbers.
