The daughter of Police Senior Master Sergeant Jonel Nuezca would undergo counseling after witnessing how his father shot and killed their two neighbors in Paniqui, Tarlac, on Sunday.
According to Paniqui Municipal Police Station chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Noriel Rombaoa, authorities already coordinated with the Department of Social Welfare and Development regarding the child’s concerns.
“Mayroon na po kaming coordination sa DSWD for counseling kasi kailangan po nating i-counsel ‘yung bata,” Rombaoa said.
“Automatic naman po sa DSWD na they will conduct counseling doon sa bata,” he added.
Nuesca fled the scene onboard a motorcycle but surrendered on Monday morning.
Jonel Nuezca’s daughter to undergo counseling
The crime was caught on video and has now become viral. The video showed the victims and the suspect having a heated discussion.
In the four-minute video, the relatives of both parties were trying to calm the victims and suspects. Jonel Nuezca has not been saying much during the discussion but was seen holding something on his waist and was keeping his distance close to the victims.
A girl, who was also taking a video of the incident, then shouted and said that his father was a policeman. She was then identified as the suspect’s daughter.
Sonia then answered back sarcastically and said, “I don’t care eh-eh-eh,” mocking her through a Korean song “I Don’t Care.”
Nuesca then said, “P****g i** ka! Gusto mo tapusin na kita ngayon? (You son of a b***! You want me to finish you now?) and without a word shot the mother in the head, then her son.
Meanwhile, the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) appealed to the public to “spare the daughter” of Jonel Nuezca since she also experienced trauma due to the incident.
“We condemn the killing, we want prompt investigation, but I’d also want to highlight that we are urging the public as well to spare the daughter of the policeman from further bullying, ridicule, and discrimination,” said CHR spokesperson Atty. Jacqueline De Guia.
