A resident of the area was also recently attacked by a crocodile while fishing and died.

To find out if the crocodile captured on video was a real monster, the authorities went to the mangroves believed to be inhabited by crocodiles.

The authorities on board the motorboat acted carefully and calculated. Soon, they saw a crocodile in the mangrove, but they could not be sure if it was the crocodile they were looking for.

Despite seeing the large crocodile in the area, the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development spokesperson said that it is not caught lightly if no one is attacked.

The crocodile must also be 10 feet or larger.

According to Barangay Captain Nelson Acob, the residents are safe because the houses are high despite the high tide.

PCSD continues to provide information on the behavior of crocodiles.

“In-explain namin sa kanila kung ano ‘yung behavior ng buwaya. Kapag gabi na, huwag nang lumusong sa tubig. Kung kailangan lumusong ay gumamit ng bangka na malaki,” said John Fabello.

However, it is still unavoidable that people, especially their children, are worried in case they fall into the sea.
