The COVID-19 death rate was also 0.42 percent in patients aged up to 49, while it was 5.53 percent in those aged 50 to 80.

As a result, the DOH continues to push for the vaccination of all senior citizens in the country.

The DOH is also monitoring Regions 9, 6, 5, and Cordillera Autonomous Region when it comes to health care utilization rate if they have recorded high ICU occupancy.

According to vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr., some members of the National Task Force Against COVID-19, will once again visit some areas where high virus cases have been recorded.

They have already started going to Iloilo and Cebu.

We will also discuss our updates on the variants of concerns on the region and the ongoing preparation to address this variant. And also our way forward on our pandemic response and massive vaccination,” said Galvez.
