Dasmariñas police then ended investigating Jhoanna Marie and Rubi, who later confessed to the crime.

During the investigation, Police Lieutenant Colonel Richard Ang, Dasmariñas police chief, said that Rubi hit the victim with a hammer. When he saw that she was still alive, he asked Jhoanna Marie to get a knife to kill the victim finally.

(There was an unfinished septic tank there inside their yard, she put dead the dead woman there, ordered gravel, cement, sand, mixed them and covered it with concrete. Then from time to time, it smells, the remedy she made is she adds cement again.)

The two suspects allegedly stated in their sworn statement how they planned the crime.

The investigation revealed that Rubi was holding grudges against the victim.

Kung anuman ‘yong bahong tinago niyo, sisingaw at sisingaw ‘yan in due time,” said Police Colonel Marlon Santos, provincial director of Cavite PPO.
