Walk-ins encouraged at community vaccination sites in Las Piñas

Vaccination is still ongoing in Las Piñas City amid enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila.

But unlike previous weeks, fewer are now getting vaccinated.

At the same time, there is a limit on the number of people coming out due to ECQ and the provision of assistance to the barangays.

At the community vaccination site at CAA Elementary School of Barangay CAA/BF International, some residents who arrived early for their schedule today were already seated.

They registered online and carried a QR code.

But there are also some who walk-ins or have no schedule for vaccinations.

Residents are now encouraged to take advantage of the walk-in service at the CAA and 10 other community vaccination sites.

The advantage is no queue and no more waiting for an online schedule or QR code.

Walk-ins encouraged at community vaccination sites in Las Piñas

All you have to do is bring proof of living in the barangay of the community vaccination site.

One of those who walked in was a 30-year-old building assistant at the airport Christian Suliva.

He was on a graveyard shift, but he didn’t go to work on Thursday night to get to the vaccination early and get the first dose.

“Konti ang mga tao ngayon, kaya mas maganda. Pangalawang beses na ngayong ECQ. Noong nakaraang linggo lang po kaso mahaba talaga ang pila, kakauwi ko lang noon, kaya di na ako tumuloy. Mahirap po kasi galing kang trabaho tapos didiretso ka dito. Pagod po tapos pipila ka. Kaya inagahan ko na lang para hindi ako maabala,” he said.

Senior citizens and others in priority categories are also assisted in getting vaccinated.

According to city government data on Thursday, more than 220,000 people have already completed the second dose of the vaccine in Las Piñas. This is almost half of the target population of 450,000.
