Comedian Vice Ganda and host Ion Perez revealed they got married on October 19, 2021, in Las Vegas, USA.
The couple made the announcement a day before Valentine’s Day.
“It’s about time to share with you what really happened in Las Vegas last October 19, 2021,” the couple said.
“Buong-buo ang loob ko na makasama ka. Mahal na mahal kita, Tuy,” Ion told Vice in their wedding at Little Vegas Chapel.
“Noy, mahal na mahal din kita. Ang saya-saya ko na ikaw ang kasama ko ngayon at kahapon. At makakasama ko parin bukas at sa susunod pang araw. I promise na mag-iipon pa ako ng maraming maraming pagmamahal sa puso ko,” Vice answered Ion.
Vice Ganda and Ion Perez’ “wedding” is called a commitment ceremony. It is when two people publicly avow their commitment to each other in a union that is similar to marriage. However, it has no legal status.
Rumors that Vice Ganda and Ion Perez got married last year after they went for a vacation in the USA.

Jose Marie Borja Viceral (born March 31, 1976), popularly known as Vice Ganda (lit. '”Beautiful Vice”‘), is a Filipino comedian, talk show host, television presenter, actor, entrepreneur, and singer. He is a regular host on ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show It’s Showtime, and has starred in several films, eight of which are considered to be the highest-grossing in Philippine cinema.
During his stand-up routines, Vice Ganda uses observational comedy, situational irony and sarcasm in pertaining to Filipino culture and human sexuality. He is also the first openly LGBTQ endorser for Globe Telecom.
Vice Ganda does not mind being addressed with either masculine or feminine pronouns, identifying as non-binary. He has advocated for queer rights and representation throughout his career.
Vice Ganda reportedly suffered from depression due to career issues and personal problems. One of his biggest life inspirations is his teacher who told him to “always follow his dreams no matter how big or wild they are.”
Ion Perez works as a model having been featured in the bachelors list of Cosmopolitan Philippines fashion magazine. Perez was among the winners of the 2017 Misters of Filipinas and was the winner of the 2018 Mister Universe Tourism.
