Vegetables pile up on the road in Benguet due to low market sales

Hundreds of cabbages were just piled up on the side of the road at Kilometer 21 in Tublay, Benguet after some farmers were disappointed with its very low sales in the market.

In the report of Balitanghali this Tuesday, it can be seen that the cabbage is piled up on the road because the farmers are said to be too low in the wholesale price at the Benguet AgriPinoy Trading Center.

It is said that people passing by can take even a few pieces of cabbage from the pile.

Meanwhile, a truckload of radishes was supposed to be returned to the town of Atok because no one wanted to buy them, but they were just given away for free.

The price per kilo of cabbage ranges from P3 to P15, depending on the class, based on the last monitoring of the Benguet AgriPinoy Trading Center.

The wholesale price of radish ranges from P5 to P18.

The mayor of La Trinidad said that they have not monitored any oversupply of vegetables in the province. It is said that the buyers in Manila and other places are just low.

Trust and approval ratings of Pres. Marcos and VP Sara increased – Pulse Asia survey

The trust and approval ratings of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte both rose in the results of the latest Pulse Asia survey.

In such a survey conducted from December 3 to 7, 2023, Marcos got 68% in approval ratings and 73% in trust ratings.

This is higher than the 65% and 71% obtained by the president in September 2023.

Meanwhile, Duterte achieved 74% and 78% in approval and trust ratings, respectively this past December.

This is also higher than the 73% and 75% he achieved in the September 2023 survey.

Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri got 49% approval and 51% trust ratings. Zubiri’s approval rating is one percent lower compared to September 2023, but his trust rating has increased by two percent.

From the 41% approval rating in September 2023 by Speaker Martin Romualdez, it was reduced to 39% this December. His trust rating rose to 40%, from the previous 38%.

Such a non-commissioned survey by Pulse Asia was conducted among 1,200 adults aged 18 and above and has a ± 2.8% error margin of 95% confidence level.

Meanwhile, the survey has ± 5.7% error margins with a 95% confidence level in the geographic areas of Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
