The US Embassy in the Philippines denied the news that it would suspend visa applications because of the 2019 novel coronavirus threat.
At the embassy notice, it said there was no change to the visa policy implemented in the Philippines.
The fake notice regarding cancellation and revocation of tourist visas and visa application suspension has reached the office of the US Embassy in the country.

The US Embassy’s notice said,
The U.S. Embassy in the Philippines is aware of a fraudulent advisory alleging the cancellation/revocation of tourist visas and the suspension of visa applications. These claims are not true.
Please note that the U.S. visa policy in the Philippines has not changed. Impostors spread misinformation by claiming to be an official U.S. source.

How to Apply for US Visa
Step 1
Pay the visa application fee.
Step 2
Complete the Nonimmigrant Visa Electronic Application (DS-160) form.
Step 3
Schedule your appointment on this web page. You will need three pieces of information in order to schedule your appointment:

- Your MRV fee payment receipt number
- The ten (10) digit barcode number from your DS-160 confirmation page

Step 4
Visit the U.S. Embassy/Consulate on the date and time of your visa interview. You will need to bring a printed copy of your appointment letter, your DS-160 confirmation page, one recent photograph, your current passport, and all old passports. Applications without all of these items will not be accepted.
