Tropical Depression Dodong maintains its strength as it moves north-northwestward over the northwestern Cagayan area.
The center of Tropical Depression DODONG was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Allacapan, Cagayan.
It moves north-northwestward at 15 km/h with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 75 km/h.
Forecast accumulated rainfall for today to tomorrow early morning
50-100 mm: · Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra Benguet, Ilocos Norte, La Union, and Pangasinan.
Under these conditions, flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazard as identified in hazard maps and in localities that experienced considerable amounts of rainfall for the past several days.
Minimal to minor impacts from strong winds (i.e., strong breeze to near gale strength) are also possible within any of the areas where Wind Signal No.1 is currently in effect.
The enhanced Southwest Monsoon may bring gusty conditions over the following areas that are not under any wind signal (especially in coastal and upland/mountainous areas exposed to winds:
- Today: MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, CALABARZON, Metro Manila, and other areas of Central Luzon.

- Tomorrow: MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, CALABARZON, Zambales, Bataan, and Aurora
- Sunday: MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Cavite, Zambales, and Bataan.
In the next 24 hours, DODONG and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon may bring moderate to rough seas over the eastern (1.5 to 2.5 m) and western (2.0 to 3.5 m) seaboards of Northern Luzon, and the western seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon (2.0 to 3.5 m).
Tropical Depression Dodong is forecast to move westward or west northwestward across the northern portion of mainland Northern Luzon and may emerge over the waters west of Ilocos Provinces later this afternoon or evening. Afterwards, DODONG will move generally northwestward over the West Philippine Sea until it exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow evening or on Sunday. Outside the PAR, DODONG will move generally west northwestward over the waters south of southern China.
Dodong will remain as a tropical depression during the remainder of its traverse of mainland Northern Luzon. It may reach tropical storm category by tomorrow afternoon or evening while over the West Philippine Sea
