TRB approves provisional toll rate at Skyway 3
The full Skyway 3 opened on January 15 this year. It allowed all regular vehicles to cross the entire seven lines of the 18-kilometer Skyway Stage 3 Elevated Expressway connecting South Luzon and North Luzon expressways
It was December 29,2020 when parts of Skyway 3 opened up which many motorists enjoyed because the trip to Makati and SLEX from NLEX-Balintawak was fast which only took 20 to 30 minutes from the previous two hours when passing through EDSA.
Skyway 3 has entry and exit ramps at Buendia, Plaza Dilao, Nagtahan, E. Rodriguez, Quezon Avenue, Sergeant Rivera, and Balintawak.
The 18-kilometer elevated expressway comprises five sections: Buendia – Quirino Avenue – Nagtahan; Nagtahan – Aurora Blvd/Ramon Magsaysay Avenue; Ramon Magsaysay Avenue-Quezon Avenue; Quezon Avenue-Balintawak, and Balintawak, Quezon City-NLEX Footbridge.
DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said that the Skyway Stage 3 project helps reduce the number of vehicles passing through EDSA.
The Skyway, officially the Metro Manila Skyway System or Metro Manila Skyway, is an elevated highway serving as the main expressway in Metro Manila, Philippines.
The expressway is the first fully grade-separated highway in the Philippines. It will be one of the longest flyovers in the world with a total length of approximately 42.79 kilometers (26.59 mi) when the Extension Project in Muntinlupa is completed.
