“Yun yun mga kumukuha ng mga kable doon sa ilalim ng manhole which is ito yung mga copper wire na malaki ang halaga,” according to Police Lieutenant Colonel Ritchie Claraval, Quezon City Police District Station 9 chief.

It is said that the value of the seized copper cables will reach P500,000.

He said he received a text asking if there was a truck available for rent. They are said to have been offered a budget of P14,500, and the renters will pay for the toll and gas.

After that, they said they would meet at midnight, but he was surprised when all he could see were hidden faces. He also said they could not get off the truck and were only made to follow orders.

When the cables were placed behind the truck, they were surprised to see that they had escort motorcycles in addition to the car they were following.

Meanwhile, the owner of the trucking services admitted they made a mistake because they did not talk to and capture the details of the person who booked them.

According to the authorities, even though they were only rented, they are still responsible for the incident.
