A 44-year-old woman was stabbed while sleeping inside her house in Negros Occidental. The suspect, the victim’s 17-year-old daughter, and her 17-year-old accomplice boyfriend.
In a report by Adrian Prieto on GMA Regional TV News on Thursday, the victim was identified as Tessie Esparagoza of Barangay Sag-ang, La Castellana in Negros Oriental.
It appears from the police investigation that the couple allegedly planned to kill the victim who was against their relationship.
Before the stabbing, police also discovered that the two first planned to poison the mother.
“Binawi niya [biktima] ang babae sa kaniyang nobyo. Kaso lumalaban talaga ang dalagita at ayaw sumama sa mama niya. Kaya siguro siya nagtanim ng sama ng loob at pinagplanuhan nila na patayin si mama niya. Prior niyan ay nag-attempt na rin sila na lasunin ang ina,” said SSG Erand Gesuan, investigator of La Castellana MPS.
(The victim took the teenager from her boyfriend. However, she resisted and did not want to come with her mother. So maybe she planted resentment, and they planned to kill her mom. Before that, they also attempted to poison the mother.)
On Tuesday, while the victim was sleeping, the girl allegedly let her boyfriend into their house and stabbed the woman to death.
The mother sustained injuries to her chest and hands.
The couple is in the custody of the social welfare department.
Couple dead in Cavite ambush
A couple who are both 31-years-old died after they were shot inside their car in General Trias City, Cavite.
In a report by Luisito Santos of Super Radyo dzBB on Thursday, the victims were identified as Vincent and Marilyn Cabugnason, residents of Sto. Tomas, Batangas.
This afternoon, the two were riding in a Toyota Wigo when the escaped assailant shot them at Sitio Carapiohan in Barangay Santiago in General Trias City.
The victims were taken to the hospital but later died.
The couple both sustained gunshot wounds to the body.
The police investigation is still ongoing to determine the culprit and motive for the crime.
