The so-called Bakuna Nights or night vaccinations for Taguig residents and workers in the A4 category who cannot take the time to get vaccinated during the day due to their jobs and other obligations are also taking place in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
This is the extended vaccination time of the Taguig City local government that will start at 6 pm to 12 midnight from Monday to Saturday.
According to the Taguig LGU, its purpose is to accommodate more workers in Taguig in their ongoing vaccination rollout.
“Marami sa kababayan natin may trabaho (8am-5pm) kahit nag-aapela kami sa mga managers, mga owners na ‘pag babakunahan yung mga empleyado ‘nyo payagan ‘nyong mag-leave, payagan ‘nyong mag-off. Pero sa mga pagkakataon na hindi makaalis, yung iba self-employed, entrepreneur, sarili nilang business na hindi nila maiwan. After office hours, puwede na silang magpa-schedule…So 6 pm until 12 midnight bukas po ang vaccination site natin,” said Mayor Lino Cayetano.
Cayetano clarified that walk-ins are not allowed yet, and everyone is required to register at trace.taguig.gov.ph.

Taguig begins ‘Bakuna Nights’ for students in A4 category
Cayetano also said that Taguig residents could choose the day and time of the vaccination. In contrast, those who are not residents of the city but work here have a booking system where their employers or managers will take care of the registration at the same time.
According to Dr. Jennifer Lou De Guzman, National Immunization Program Coordinator of Taguig City, they target to inject the vaccine at Bakuna Nights from 400 to 600 patients per night.
“Naniniwala po kami na ang manggagawa natin ay hindi lang nasa night-shift of day-shift, naniniwala po kami na kailangan po naming mag-adjust din doon sa mga oras nang kanilang hanapbuhay para magkaroon sila ng panahon at oras na makapagbakuna,” she said.
De Guzman also said that their regular vaccination rollout would continue starting at 8 a.m. every day.
According to De Guzman, up to 1,000 to 1,300 people are vaccinated every day. So far, it is estimated that 10 to 20 percent of their 1st and 2nd doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been injected.
