The Social Weather Survey of December 10-14, 2022, found 83% satisfied and 5% dissatisfied with the performance of Vice-President Sara Duterte, 58% satisfied and 10% dissatisfied with Senate President Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri, 49% satisfied and 12% dissatisfied with Speaker Martin Romualdez, and 37% satisfied and 13% dissatisfied with Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo.
The resulting net satisfaction ratings (% satisfied minus % dissatisfied) were an excellent[1] +77 (correctly rounded) for Vice-President Duterte, a good +47 (correctly rounded) for Senate President Zubiri, a good +37 for Speaker Romualdez, and a moderate +24 for Chief Justice Gesmundo.
“Excellent” in all areas. Vice-President Duterte’s net satisfaction rating was excellent in all areas: it was highest in Mindanao at +96, followed by the Visayas at +74, Metro Manila at +73, and Balance Luzon at +71. Compared to October 2022, it rose from +88 in Mindanao while it rose slightly from +68 in Metro Manila. It hardly moved from +68 in Balance Luzon and +71 in the Visayas [Chart 1, Tables 2 and 3].
“Excellent” in both rural and urban areas. Net satisfaction with Vice-President Duterte was excellent in both rural (+81) and urban (+74) areas. Compared to October 2022, it rose from +74 in rural areas while it hardly moved from +72 in urban areas.
“Excellent” across basic demographics except among college graduates. Vice-President Duterte’s net satisfaction rating was excellent across all basic demographics (ranging from +74 to +80) except among college graduates, where it was a very good +66. Compared to October 2022, it either rose or did not change across basic demographics, except among college graduates, where it fell from +74.

Meanwhile, Senate President Zubiri’s net satisfaction rating was higher in Mindanao at very good +59 than the good levels in the Visayas at +45, Balance Luzon at +44, and Metro Manila at +41. Compared to October 2022, it rose from +28 in Metro Manila and +50 in Mindanao, while it hardly moved from +41 in Balance Luzon. It fell from +55 in the Visayas.
“Very good” in rural areas, “Good” in urban areas. Net satisfaction with the Senate President was higher in rural areas at very good +57 than in urban areas at good +39. Compared to October 2022, it rose from +47 in rural areas while it stayed at +39 in urban areas.
“Very good” among the 45-to-54-year-olds, “Good” elsewhere. By basic demographics, Senate President Zubiri’s net satisfaction rating was a very good +52 among the 45-to-54-year-olds and good among the rest of the basic demographics, ranging from +41 to +49. Compared to October 2022, it either rose or barely changed in all basic demographics except among the 35-to-44-year-olds, where it fell from +51, and among college graduates, where it fell from +54.
