The Philippines has been ranked as having the ninth worst traffic in the world.
Data from traffic situations from 88 countries determined the position of the Philippines in its 2015 Traffic Index report compiled by a Serbian-based research organisation Numbeo.
Other countries with even worse traffic inclued Kenya, Egypt, Bolivia, Nigeria, South Africa and Thailand.
The Philippines ranked fourth worst in Asia behind Bangladesh, Jordan and Iran.
The report was based on a “composite index of time consumed in traffic due to job commute, estimation of time consumption dissatisfaction, carbon dioxide consumption estimation in traffic and overall inefficiencies in the traffic system.”
Kenya was named as the worst place in the world to be a driver.
Numbeo’s founder Mladen Adamovic stressed that information presented on his website was influenced by any government.
