Stepfather, mother kill 8-year-old boy

A toddler died after being beaten by his mother and stepfather while allegedly being disciplined inside their home in Brgy. Rosario, Pasig City this Friday.

The 8-year-old male victim was rushed to Mission Hospital but also died while receiving treatment.

The police refused to name the victim because he was a minor.

Meanwhile, the suspects are identified as Kimberly Villadolid, 29, and her husband Germarc Franklin Villadolid, 39, call center agent, stepfather of the victim, and fellow resident of Bldg. Or, Unit 1732, Urban Deca Homes, Ortigas Avenue Extension, in Brgy. Rosario.

Based on the report of Pasig City Police chief PCOL Roman Arugay to Eastern Police District (EPD) Director PBGEN Orlando Yebra Jr., around 3:51 pm when Dr. Peter Joshua Ancheta was the victim.

The suspects rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment after he allegedly lost consciousness.

During a cursory examination of the child’s body, the doctors discovered the presence of a hematoma on his thighs and arms and immediately informed the authorities.

During the investigation, the suspects admitted that they allegedly disciplined the child for the offense he committed before being rushed to the hospital, which was not immediately identified.

They asked the boy to squat, and when he did not comply with their instructions, they beat him with slippers until they saw him unconscious.

Substation 7 personnel immediately arrested the suspects at their home and detained them while awaiting the results of the autopsy that will be performed on the child’s body to determine the cause of death.

“Lawless elements have no place here in Pasig City. Pasig CPS will continuously adhere with the anti-criminality effort of the PNP for the apprehension of lawless individuals within AOR,” said PCOL Arugay.

In April, a seven-year-old boy died after being assaulted and slammed on the pavement by his father in Rodriguez, Rizal.

The boy’s neighbors took him to a clinic before transferring him to a hospital, where he died while being treated.

Erao Veraces, who was seen on film unclothed while assaulting the youngster, passed away while in police custody.
