In Barangay Santo Angelo Central, next to Laguna de Bay, it was still flooded this Wednesday.

Residents use boats to visit their homes.

Residents said they are used to the floods when Laguna de Bay overflows, but the water is now deeper and disappears longer. It is said to be due to a series of typhoons.

The floods since then have only reached the knee. But now the flood is said to be higher.

Some male residents went to their homes to check on the situation and check security.

Another grandmother did not go to the evacuation center and chose to stay at her house to see it.

According to residents, they need bedding, rice and food, and financial assistance to get started again. Their crops were destroyed.

The residents hope they would not be spending Christmas in the evacuation centers.

Some towns in Pampanga still flooded

Many towns in Pampanga are still flooded even after a few days of good weather. It is because the said areas are really low and served as a catch basin in Central Luzon.

It was reported in “Balitanghali” that almost the entire town of Macabebe was still flooded even without rain.

According to Pampanga provincial government information official Joel Mapiles, it is impossible for the floods in Macabebe to disappear because the town is really low. Even if it does not rain, it floods every high tide when the Pampanga River overflows.

Apart from Macabebe, the towns of Arayat, Candaba, San Simon, Masantol, and San Luis – towns along the Pampanga River were still flooded.
