Shabu seized in Visayas: P13.6-M in Dumaguete, P2-M worth in Bacolod

Authorities seized a total of over P15M worth of shabu during four different anti-illegal drug operations in various provinces in the Visayas region on Tuesday.

P13.6-M worth of shabu recovered in Dumaguete City

Police arrested a 22-year-old man during an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Camanjac in Dumaguete City on Tuesday afternoon.

Two kilograms of suspected shabu worth P13.6 million were recovered from him.

According to PLt. Allen June Germodo, team leader of the Philippine National Police Special Operations Group in Negros Oriental, they have been monitoring the suspect for two weeks before the operation.

A police asset who disguised as a buyer ordered a kilo of shabu from him, but the suspect brought two kilos.

Authorities immediately took the recovered shabu to the Negro Oriental Crime Laboratory for testing.

The suspect will face charges of selling illegal drugs.

P2-M worth of shabu seized in Bacolod City

More than P2 million worth of shabu was recovered in 3 separate police operations in Bacolod City on Tuesday.

According to police, 4 were arrested in operation, including a minor.

Three of the suspects were high-value targets, according to Bacolod City Police, including a supposed criminology student this year.

All those arrested for selling shabu in the Visayas region will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
