Rosario Maclang Bautista Hospital reaches full capacity

Despite the ongoing lockdown in Metro Manila, many hospitals have already declared full capacity due to the continuous increase in COVID-19 cases in the region.

Quezon City General Hospital has already declared full capacity,, while the occupancy rate of the COVID-19 ward of Novaliches Hospital has jumped to 135 percent.

Rosario Maclang Bautista General Hospital then declared full capacity.

The hospital currently has 62 confirmed COVID-19 patients, according to their bulletin. Their wards for COVID-19 persons under investigation (PUIs) are also full.

In the notice released by the hospital on their official Facebook page, not only is the COVID-19 ward full now, even their pop-up tents around the hospital are already full and their emergency areas.

However, they still accept outpatients in the emergency area. But if they need to be confined or admitted to the hospital, they are advised to look for an alternative hospital or clinic.

Even the 12 HOPE Facilities of Quezon City have an occupancy rate of 75.53 percent. Here patients with mild symptoms are usually taken.

A total of 9,400 active cases are in the city after adding 157 active cases yesterday.

Vaccination continues in the city where more than 2.2 million have been vaccinated.

Meanwhile, it is possible that new patients will not be admitted to the emergency room of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) for a week, according to its spokesperson.

PGH Spokesperson Dr. Jonas Del Rosario explained that they need to meet the needs of patients because the  set by the hospital is full.

On the other hand, Del Rosario clarified that if a patient coming to the emergency room is critical or life and death, they are ready to accept and treat it.

“The advisory is for more patients who are not that severely o critically ill na minsan po magwo-walk in sa PGH. Kasi po ang talagang gusto namin i-coordinate ang pag-transfer lalo na po kung galing sa ibang ospital. Kasi po doon kami nadadale talaga, ang dami pong walk-ins na ang iba po doon ay hindi naman talaga sana pumunta na sa ER at nahahati pa po tuloy ‘yung aming resources,” said Del Rosario.
