Riding-in-tandem kills a teacher and 5-year-old son in South Cotabato.

Riding-in-tandem suspects shot a teacher and his 5-year-old son to death in front of their house in  Purok Abrenica, Barangay GPS, Koronadal City, South Cotabato, Friday night. The teacher was being linked to an investment scam.

The victims were identified as Bryan Togonon, 31, the coordinator of an investment company and son Niccolo. Both were rushed to the nearest medical facility after the incident at around 7 p.m. However, the father and son died before they arrived at the hospital.

According to P / Lt. Col. Joefel Siason, chief of the Koronadal City Police Station, the police found it difficult to identify the suspects because their faces were covered.

Investigations revealed that the father had just bought milk in the city centre when the riding-in-tandem suspects followed them to Barangay GPS and shot them in front of their home.

Siason said police are now looking into the possibility of the crime being linked to investment schemes because Bryan has served as the investment company’s coordinator. Investors could have been coming after him.
