Raffy Tulfo again dominates Pulse Asia senatorial survey in March

Former broadcaster Raffy Tulfo (65.6%) remains limping on the senate in the latest Pulse Asia survey. He was the “solo first place” among 14 candidates with a statistical chance of winning in May.

Just Wednesday, the research firm said that almost all of the “probable winners” in the senatorial race today are purely incumbent or former members of Congress:

Raffy Tulfo again dominates Pulse Asia senatorial survey in March

“With less than two (2) months to go before the May 2022 polls, 58% of likely voters are naming 12 of their preferred senatorial candidates (i.e., out of a maximum of 12),” Pulse Asia explained earlier.

“Likely voters are naming an average of 10 of their favored senatorial candidates, with mean figures ranging from 8 to 11 across areas and classes.”

In February, Tulfo also became number one among the senatorial candidates, known for his “hard-hitting” and controversial television, radio, and Youtube programs. He also used to be a news anchor for TV5.

1.8% of voters are still undecided, while 1.7% said they do not support the senatorial bet.

About 0.2% of the respondents refused to name who they would put on their ballot for such a position in the legislature.

On February 16, the Commission on Elections Second Division announced that they were rejecting the petition to cancel Tulfo’s certificate of candidacy.

The complaint came from Julieta Pearson, who claimed she was Raffy’s legal wife.

In 2019, Raffy Tulfo admitted that he had a  with Pearson.

However, Jocelyn Tulfo was first named as the senatorial candidate’s wife.
