Quezon City to achieve herd immunity by September – Mayor Joy

The Quezon City government is confident that the city will achieve herd immunity in September.

This is what Mayor Joy Belmonte said because the registration of QCs to be vaccinated is continuous. There are no problems due to the launch of the LGU assisted registration portal for their vaccination program.

About 113,000 QCs are expected to be vaccinated in the coming days because the new platform is “smooth sailing”.

“We look forward to finishing way before the six months period that is given to us. We can easily finish by September at the latest,” said Mayor Belmonte.

Belmonte hopes the vaccine supply will be stable due to the arrival of additional Sinovac and Moderna vaccines.
