QCPD probes death of singer Keith Martin

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) continues to investigate the cause of the death of American singer Keith Martin. He was found lifeless last week inside his condominium in the city.

In the QCPD’s initial inspection of the crime scene, no forcible entry or no sign of forcibly entering the condo unit of the “Because of You” hitmaker was found.

According to QCPD Director Brig Gen Remus Medina, only last Sunday did the family agree to have Martin’s body autopsied, so the results will be released in just two days.

So far, it is still being investigated whether there was foul play in Keith Martin’s death.

According to the QCPD Public Information Officer, the body will be autopsied based on the permission of Keith Martin’s 14-year-old son, who is in the Philippines. The child is the child of an ex-Filipina wife.

The said child is also said to contact Martin’s family in America.

“Sa pagpasok pa lang, wala tayong nakitang forcible entry… Wala rin tayong report na may firearm o bladed weapon sa lugar. But lahat, iiimbestigahan natin nang maayos ito,” Medina said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Keith Martin was found dead Friday night following a report from neighbors in the condo building about a pungent odor on their floor.

According to Medina, the singer was last seen alive on March 20.

Authorities are also contacting the US Embassy in the Philippines regarding the incident.

Another oil price hike scheduled for Tuesday

The rollback in oil prices last week was almost immediately reversed.

This is after oil companies announced on Monday that the price hike on Tuesday, February 29, will be even bigger than the first estimate by the industry.

Here are the price adjustments to be implemented:

Caltex
DIESEL +P8.65/L
GASOLINA +P3.40/L
KEROSENE +P9.40/L

Shell, Seaoil, Petron, Flying V
DIESEL +P8.65/L
GASOLINA +P3.40/L
KEROSENE +P9.40/L

Petro Gazz, Unioil, PTT Philippines
GASOLINA +P3.40/L

Cleanfuel
DIESEL +P8.65/L
GASOLINA +P3.40/L

The price adjustments were bigger than the industry’s previous estimate of up to P8.15 for diesel, P3.15 for gasoline, and P8.15 for kerosene.

Prices have risen due to allegedly large premiums and freight costs due to the lack of oil supply.
