Pulse Asia reported Monday 91 percent of Filipinos approved of President Rodrigo Duterte’s performance in addressing the COVID-19 crisis in the country.
The survey revealed that 9 out of 10 Filipinos, or 91%, approved Duterte’s performance while 5 percent disapproved, and the remaining 5 percent were undecided.
Meanwhile, the Pulse Asia survey said Vice-President Leni Robredo had 57 percent approval rating, 22 percent disapproval, and 21 percent undecided.
Senate President Tito Sotto garnered 6 percent disapproval, 84 percent approval, and 10 percent undecided.
Those surveyed gave House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano a 70 percent approval, 10 percent disapproval, and 19 percent undecided. Cayetano currently has a term-sharing conflict with Marinduque Rep. Lord Allan Velasco.
However, Supreme Court Chief Justice Diosdado M. Peralta obtained only 44 percent approval, compared to 37 percent undecided ang 13 percent disapproval.
In 2019, Pulse Asia also reported that 87% of Filipinos approve of Duterte’s performance, with only 5 percent disapproval and 8 percent undecided.
In April, a survey conducted by Gallup International Association showed most Filipinos were satisfied with the government’s response against the pandemic COVID-19.
Based on the global polling firm’s April 6 to 8 poll, about 80 percent of Pinoys believed the government is handling the COVID-19 crisis “well.”

Both Duterte and Locsin remained on the top of the most admired men and women in the country, with their rating increasing from 19.39% and 11.14%, respectively.
The runner-ups for men are Senator Manny Pacquiao, with a 10.65% score, followed by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, who had 7.96%.
For the women, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray (11.09%) ranked second, and singer Sarah Geronimo (7.48%) claimed the third spot.
Actress Liza Soberano ranked first in 2018, came in sixth, while Vice President Leni Robredo ranked 15th.
