Netizens want Piolo Pascual, Judy Ann Santos, Julia Barreto to star in ‘The World of the Married’ remake

Netizens nominated former love team Piolo Pascual and Judy Ann Santos to star in the remake of “The World of the Married” or “Doctor Foster” in the Philippines.

According to Philstar.com, fans of Piolo and Juday want them to play the role of husband and wife while netizens want either Charlie Dizon, Julia Barretto, or Kylie Padilla to play as the young mistress in the popular drama series in South Korea and the US.

South Korea’s adaptation of the series known as “The World of the Married” was the country’s highest-rated drama in cable TV history.

BBC Studios and ABS-CBN Corporation recently announced that a Filipino adaptation of the “The World of the Married” would be in the making for Pinoy fans. However, the cast was not yet announced.

“It truly is an honour to know that ‘Doctor Foster’ will be coming to life in the Philippines under the extraordinary creative team at ABS-CBN Entertainment. I know that they will not only craft a unique and special story, but that they will capture the complex struggle of modern relationships from the perspective of the strong female character that sits at the heart of this series. ABS-CBN Entertainment said The World of the Married production would be later this year. ABS-CBN president and Chief Executive Officer Carlo Katigak, ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer (COO) of broadcast Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN Entertainment Production Head Laurenti Dyogi and ABS-CBN Dreamscape Entertainment Head Deo Endrinal would produce the series.
