Phoenix Petroleum gives P5M, free fuel for life to Hidilyn Diaz

Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz will also get P5 million from Dennis Uy’s Phoenix Petroleum plus free fuel for life.

Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc. is the first independent oil company listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange after the Oil Deregulation Law was passed in 1998.

Diaz received also received lifetime free flights from flag carriers  and Philippine Airlines.

Diaz also got a P14-million residential condominium unit in Eastwood City from Megaworld.

Hidilyn Diaz will also receive a total of P35.5 million plus a Tagaytay City house and lot.

Under the law, Diaz will receive P10 million from the . In addition,  V. Pangilinan will also give her another P10 million.

Millionaire Ramon S. Ang will also give Diaz P10 million, while deputy speaker Mikee Romero will give her an additional P 3 million.

Meanwhile, the weightlifter will get P2.5 million from her hometown Zamboanga City also by law.

Pinay weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz won the Philippines’ first gold medal at the Olympics after winning the ’s 55-kg weightlifting event at the 2020  on Monday held at the Tokyo International Forum in Japan.

This is the first gold medal of the Philippines since competing in the Olympics in 1924.

Meanwhile, Malacanang also congratulated Hidilyn Diaz. Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque emphasized that Duterte will give millions in rewards to Diaz in addition to P35.5 million from the government and private sector.

“Iguguhit po natin sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas ang pangalan ng Hidilyn Diaz, at ayaw ko munang ianunsyo dahil mapalaki pa, pero milyun-milyon po ang ipinangako ng presidente para sa makakakamit ng gintong medalya, at ang pribadong sektor ay naglaan din ng milyun-milyon,” he said.
