Family of Pharmally director Linconn Ong thanked Senate

Summer Ong, wife of Pharmally executive Linconn Ong, thanked the Senate for showing consideration by the senators to release the latter to visit the sick child temporarily.

In a letter sent by Summer to the Senate, she said she and her family are happy that the senators understand their family’s current situation.

She said although the 2 -year -old son has been released from the hospital due to dengue, he is still not fully recovering.

Summer specifically thanked Blue Ribbon Committee Chairman Sen. Richard Gordon and Senate President Tito Sotto, and Sen. Panfilo Lacson.

“I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to Senate President Tito Sotto and Senator Panfilo Lacson for the kind words and understanding of my fervent request on behalf of my son. I also wish to thank Senator Richard Gordon and the Blue Ribbon committee in advance for whatever consideration they are willing to provide for my husband Linconn Ong,” she said.

Summer added that the temporary release of her husband was a big help for the betterment of their child’s condition.

At the same time, she assured the senators of their family’s readiness to face any case filed related to the Pharmally issue.

“Our son, by the grace of God has been discharged from the hospital and will continue to be monitored at home. Hopefully, he can derive more strength from spending time with his daddy and recover faster,” said Summer.

“We do implore the kind Senators to please let my husband stay home in the meantime to help rebuild our family, our lives, and to prepare us to face whatever may come. As I have said in my letters, let me assure you, as one family, we are willing to face whatever challenges and trials together.”

Linconn, along with another Pharmally official Mohit Dargani were jailed in Pasay City Jail after they were subjected to contempt by the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee back in September 2021 at the height of the Senate Investigation into the Pharmally mess.
