PBBM, VP Sara get high approval and trust ratings – OCTA

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr and Vice President Sara Duterte got high approval and trust ratings in the results of the March 2023 OCTA survey released this Wednesday, April 19.

In the “Tugon ng Masa” survey released by OCTA, it is estimated that 80% of Filipinos approve of Marcos’ overall performance as President of the Philippines. 6% disapproved while 15% were undecided.

When it comes to the president’s trust rating, it is said that 83% trust him, 4% do not trust him, while 13% did not give a side.

Meanwhile, 84% of Filipinos are said to be satisfied with Duterte’s performance as vice president, 4% are not satisfied, and 12% are undecided.

According to OCTA, 87% of Filipinos trust Duterte, 3% do not trust, while 10% did not give a side.

“It must be noted that the general public opinion regarding the performance and trustworthiness of the President and the Vice-President remains essentially constant between the OCTA Research Tugon ng Masa nationwide surveys conducted last October 2022 and its latest survey in March 2023,” said OCTA.

The said non-commissioned survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 Filipinos in the country aged 18 and above, from March 24 to 28 this year.

Meanwhile, despite having a high overall approval rating, the government received its lowest score on inflation among selected national issues. The survey results as of March indicate that 52% of Filipinos disapprove of Marcos’ handling of inflation, with only 25% expressing approval of the government’s response to the rising cost of goods and services.
