The facility has a large chamber where bulk shabu and other drugs confiscated in various anti-drug operations conducted by the PDEA will be brought in.

That included evidence from raided drug laboratories, such as liquid chemicals and other confiscated equipment for the manufacture of illegal drugs.

According to the PDEA, about 1,000 kilos of illegal drugs and one hundred liters of liquid chemicals are scheduled to be burned today.

Earlier, PDEA Chief Wilkins Villanueva called for the courts to expedite the release of destruction orders and make drug burning a priority, especially in cases with evidence of five kilograms of drugs or more.

The PDEA conducts drug destruction four times a year as proof that no illegal drugs are returned or recycled.
