Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, Reform Party alliance becomes official

The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) and the Reform Party have officially joined forces to advance the candidacy of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte.

This is after the two parties signed an agreement held at Marcos’ headquarters in Mandaluyong City.

It was led by PFP Secretary-General Thomson Lantion and Reform Party President Ret.Col James Layug.

According to Layug, they believe that the Bongbong and Sara coalition will advance President Rodrigo Duterte’s key reform agendas, including the Build Build Build program, Digital Pilipinas for free and faster internet, continuing the war against drugs, and suppression on crime and corruption. He also said that the two parties would promote “Change Gov,” which aims to decentralize economic, fiscal, and political power.

The PFP thanked the Reform Party for its trust in the Bongbong – Sara compound. He said the Reform Party’s joint force with the PFP will further strengthen the unity promoted by UniTeam throughout the country.

The Reform Party first reached an agreement with the PDP-Laban to support then-running vice president Senator Bong Go, who later ran for the presidency until finally stepping down in November.

Layug explained that they decided to choose a candidate to support due to the absence of the administration’s candidate.

“Nung mag Pebrero na po, mag start na yung campaign period, noong wala pa ring dine-declare ang administration na presidental candidate, the party, the leadership, nag-meeting po kami, nagkaroon ng consultation and nagkaroon ng consensus, we have to adopt and we have to endorse the next leader that we believe will be aligned with the principles that we are pushing for,” he said.

“Unanimously, the executive body decided na it will be Senator Bongbong and Mayor Sara,” added Layug.

He also said that the Reform Party could help a lot in the candidacy of Marcos and Duterte.

“Kung saan may kandidato ang Reform, ang dala po nila yung liderato ng UniTeam tandem of BBM-Sara, so beyond campaign materials, beyond the propaganda machinery, we will be pushing it by word of mouth, door to door, tao sa tao, ganoon po ang gagawin namin para itulak ang liderato at ang kandidatura ng ating UniTeam candidates for President and Vice President, BBM and Sara,” said Layug.
