Sen. Manny Pacquiao is ready to participate if the Senate investigates the e-sabong issue.

“Kung ibabawal natin yung e-sabong, ibawal din natin yung online casino. Anong pinagkaiba ng e-sabong at online casino?” he said.
“So maging fair lang tayo na hindi magsarado agad. I-balance natin. Kaya ang sabi ko i-regulate lang. Kasi kung isarado natin yan, ibawal din natin yung casino. I-regulate lang ng gobyerno nang hindi ‘yung mga bata malulong.”
He said it is also imporessentialave guidance with children when they do not try to gamble.
“Pangaralan natin sila na ang malulong sa sugal ay ‘di maganda,” said the presidential candidate.
Among the things Pacquiao wants to implement is to ban e-sabong from those under the age of 15.
The Senate committee on public order and dangerous drugs, headed by Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, is likely to conduct an investigation into the case of missing cockfight betters.
Pacquiao wants to regulate e-sabong
As of January 31, 2022, the PNP announced that 26 people were reported missing after going to the cockpit.
Among those missing were a pregnant woman and her partner living in Laguna. There are also missing in Bulacan, Rizal and Batangas.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao on Thursday said he would appoint CIBAC party-list Representative Bro. Eddie Villanueva as his corruption czar if he becomes the next president of the Philippines.
“Nagkausap kami ni Eddie Villanueva, gustong-gusto ko ang plano niya sa pagsugpo ng corruption. Kung sakali manalo ako sa pagkapangulo, sana tanggapin niya ang paanyaya na gawin ko siyang corruption czar,” Pacquiao said in a media briefing in Montalban, Rizal.
“Unang una may takot sa Panginoon, hindi magko-compromise. At alam ko lahat ng gagawin namin ay para sa Panginoon at para sa bayan,” he added.
“I will give him the full authority, especially to create, and to enforce also para mag-aresto, magpakulong ng mga corrupt (to arrest and send to jail those who are corrupt),” Pacquiao said.
