Over P8-M worth of suspected dried marijuana seized in Bulacan

PDEA and police seized an estimated P8.16 million worth of suspected dried marijuana in a buy-bust operation in Malolos City, Bulacan on Wednesday.

Five suspects were arrested, and according to PDEA-Region 3, they are the major supplier of marijuana in Bulacan and some towns in Pampanga.

The suspects seized approximately 68 kilos of dried marijuana leaves.

A case of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared against the 5 arrested suspects.

Meanwhile, four men were arrested after nearly P1 million worth of marijuana was confiscated in Sadanga, Mountain Province last Monday night.

According to PDEA-Cordillera, they received information about marijuana to be smuggled so they conducted a checkpoint in Sitio Ampawilen, Brgy. Population.

A black SUV allegedly from Kalinga was seized. When the vehicle was inspected, 8 marjiuana bricks were found as well as 1 wrapped in tubular shape marijuana and 2 ball-shaped marijuana leaves with fruiting tops.

It weighs a total of 8,250 grams and is estimated to cost P990,000.

The suspects, identified as Dan Mark De Los Reyes, Lorence Ignacio, Vince Robles, and John Cesar Padilla, all of Parang, Marikina, allegedly sold marijuana online.

Drug suspect killed in encounter in Nueva Ecija

A recent buy-bust operation by the police in Barangay Pag-asa, Talavera town, Nueva Ecija ended in an encounter.

The target of the operation was Rency Boy Valencia who allegedly met the poseur-buyer at the house where they were staying.

Valencia allegedly sold P500 worth of suspected shabu before the police felt the transaction.

Valencia allegedly fired at the policemen so the authorities also defended themselves and the target was killed.

The drugs watchlist includes Valencia who is known to use and sell drugs in their area.

His illegal activity has also been monitored for several weeks before the alleged buy-bust.

A package of suspected shabu was seized from the suspect and the .357 Magnum allegedly used by the suspect in the encounter was also recovered.
