Passengers at Matnog Port advised delaying trip due to bad weather

Those crossing the Visayas and Mindanao from Matnog Port to Sorsorgon have been advised to postpone their trip due to the long queue caused by bad weather, according to an official on Wednesday.

The breeze and the tail-end of the frontal system exist, causing high waves and strong winds, according to PAGASA. There is also a low pressure area observed east of Romblon that can be dissolved within 24 hours, it added.

As a result, most trips in January were delayed, according to Achilles Galindes, acting manager of the Philippine Ports Authority-Matnog.

He advised the public to monitor the weather before traveling.
