The Department of Foreign Affairs will now accept the ‘new’ Postal Identification card as one of the supporting documents for passport applications.
The Philippines Postal Corporation “PHLPost” has begun to issue the new postal identification card in all its 260 post offices nationwide.

PHLPost issed the new PVC plastic card which is infused with various digital security features to bring back the credibility of the Postal ID from years ago.
”We are thankful that the DFA has included the Postal ID as one of their government accredited Identification cards,” Postmaster General Josie Dela Cruz said.
The new postal ID costs 370 pesos, exclusive of 12% VAT.
