The ‘Pilipino Workers Center’ has launched a new tour in the “Filipino District” of Los Angeles in a jeepney, no less!
Those who come to explore the neighbourhood will find themselves in the Filipino district riding a 1944 Sarao Jeepney, a short wheelbase version of a jeepney.
Tours will showcase the history of where Filipino life began in Los Angeles.
The jeepney will no doubt have heads turning while it trundles through the historic and somewhat low-profile districts of LA.
Today more than 400,000 Filipinos live in Los Angeles, with some 10,000 residing inside the historic Filipino-Town.
