Nearly P500K worth of equipment stolen from Boracay school

Nearly half a million pesos worth of equipment was stolen from Manocmanoc Elementary School on the island of Boracay on Friday night.

During the Malay police investigation, 2 culprits entered the school.

Police were called after learning that the mountain bike owned by school utility worker Arriz Pagcaliwangan was missing.

The school personnel, along with the Malay police, immediately conducted an inspection and found that the thieves also entered the Information and Communications Technology room of the school.

Five sets of desktop computers, 2 laptops, and 1 projector were stolen. All were stolen worth P473,634, according to authorities.

During a follow-up operation conducted by the Malay police on Sunday afternoon, an 18-year-old man was arrested who was identified as one of the school robbers.

A concerned citizen pointed to him that he and another offender were seen coming out of the school carrying the stolen equipment and loading them on a tricycle.

The utility worker’s stolen computers and mountain bike were confiscated from him.

Authorities are still pursuing another culprit after escaping.

P700K worth of illegal drugs seized in QC, Valenzuela

The 3 men fell in jail in separate buy-bust operations in Quezon City and Valenzuela City.

According to preliminary information from the NCRPO, Anonas Police arrested alias Ash, 48, an online seller who allegedly sidelined in selling illegal drugs in Quezon City.

Using P34,000 boodle money, the poseur buyer transacted with the suspect. After exchanging money and drugs, Ash was arrested there. Authorities seized 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000 from the suspect.

Two men were arrested in an anti-drug operation by the Northern Police District in Barangay Marulas, Valenzuela City.

The suspects are all unemployed and allegedly selling marijuana in the Camanava area.

3 kilos of marijuana worth P360,000 were confiscated from the suspects.

The suspects will face charges in violation of RA 9165.
