Authorities arrested more than 100 female employees in the call center-like office. The group’s employees are said to be aged 19 to 22.

According to the NBI, the group targets women because they target foreigners in America, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Europe, who are looking for women in dating apps.

The women allegedly use pictures of new artists and vloggers to get the attention of their victims.

Last month, the renewed its warning against online scammers who duped Filipinos through a love scam.

BI Commissioner Jaime Morente reiterated earlier warnings against a syndicate that abuses the vulnerability of Filipinos seeking biracial relationships.

“With the re-opening of our borders to foreign  comes the return of the love scam,” said Morente.

According to Morente, unsuspecting victims usually meet the syndicate members online, who would woo them with small gifts, promises of international travel, and marriage. The fake foreign national will then claim to fly to the Philippines to meet and marry the victim.
