Mr. Pogi German vlogger was detained after persuading a 17-year-old girl to participate in his “24-hour jowa” challenge vlog and reportedly raped her thereafter.
The German suspect, Marcel Messall, instructed the victim to follow his script for the vlog content that he would upload on social media. After the video was uploaded, the victim reported the suspect to the Muntinlupa police.
The minor, however, claimed that she was shocked to learn from the release of the vlog that she had been made to resemble a “pick-up girl.”
“Naiyak na lang po ako noon kasi hindi ko alam na ganun yung gagawin niya. Ang akala ko lang po ang content namin yung 24-hours jowa challenge, tapos ganun pala,” said the victim, “Ging.”
(I just cried because I didn’t know that he would do that. I just thought our content was the 24-hours jowa challenge, but it turned out to be about me being a prostitute.)
“Nung inupload ng suspek itong ginawa nila, nakita niya na iba yung in-upload niya sa social media. At dito po makikita natin na yung biktima ay nagmumukha po siyang isang pickup girl,” Police Colonel Angel Garcillano, Muntinlupa chief of police, said.

According to the medical assessment, the victim was also raped by Mr. Pogi German.
The German vlogger insisted that he did nothing improper on his vlog and denied knowing the victim was a minor.
“I didn’t do anything to her. Doing something with an 18 year-old is not bawal, only if minor di ba? If I knew that she is minor, I will never ever agree to her, because I’m a mabait guy,” said suspect Marcel Messall.
Ruffy Biazon, the mayor of Muntinlupa City, formally requested that Messall be made persona non grata by the city council.
Mr. Pogi German is accused of rape and violating the anti-photo and voyeurism statute.
Messall is also overstaying in the Philippines, according to the Bureau of Immigration, after his visa expired in 2019.
