The police will allegedly present at the Senate hearing on Thursday a witness who reportedly saw the missing sabungeros being from Manila Arena. At the same time, the disappearance of a van rental driver will also be investigated if it is also related to the cockfight.
Emil Sumangil told GMA News “24 Oras” on Wednesday that GMA News had a source from the Philippine National Police’s Special Investigation Task Group, who said the witness was a chicken handler who will be presented at the Senate hearing.
According to the report, it is said that the Manila Arena in Sta. Ana, Manila was the witness, and he allegedly knew the missing sabungeros in the area.
The witness allegedly caught a glimpse of the sabungeros, who had not been seen since last January.
At the previous hearing, Senator Ronald’ Bato’ dela Rosa, chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs, insisted that security guards should confront them in the cockpits where the missing victims were last seen.

Meanwhile, Nilda Calvo also approached the PNP-CIDG to find her missing husband Carlos Alfonso Calvo, 47, van rental driver.
According to Nilda, it was November 8, 2021, when her husband left and was on his way to Batangas and Laguna. But since then, he has not returned.
A week after not being contacted, Carlos’ car was found in Sto Tomas, Batangas.
Authorities will find out if the victim’s disappearance was also related to the cockfighting because the owner allegedly owns the cockfighting chickens.
In a separate report, Senator Ping Lacson said he had gathered information that there were police officers possibly involved in the disappearance of the sabungeros.
So far, more than 30 people have gone missing in connection with cockfighting.
Game fixing is the apparent motive of the authorities in the disappearance of the victims.
It is said that those involved in game-fixing also buy beautiful gamecocks from big-time and well-known sabungero breeders. But instead of conditioning and strengthening, the gamecock is said to be weakened a few months or a few weeks before the fight.
