Beauty queen and teacher Catherine Camilon was spotted in a mall in Batangas a few hours before her family could no longer contact her.
In a report by Denice Abante on GMA Regional TV Balitang Southern Tagalog this Wednesday, it was said that the Tuy Police Station obtained a copy of the CCTV footage from a mall in Lemery that shows Catherine walking alone.
The said CCTV footage was allegedly taken on Thursday at 7:00 pm. According to the police, this happened before Catherine sent a message to her mother that she was at a gasoline station in Bauan, Batangas.
“Paglabas ‘yon from that mall, but the last text is sa Bauan siya nagpunta. Negative tayo sa mga CCTV’s doon,” said Police Captain Pauline Fernando, PIO Chief, Batangas PPO.
Before this, Catherine said goodbye to her mother, who was going to Batangas City because she had someone to meet.
The Batangas provincial police asked for the public’s help in finding Catherine.
“Hanggang ngayon negative. Nag-a-appeal din kami sa taumbayan, if there is some information na puwedeng ibigay sa amin para mabilis ang pag-usad,” said Police Captain Pauline Fernando, PIO Chief, Batangas PPO.

The police also want to know information about the car Catherine was using when she disappeared.
“Pati yung sasakyan na ginagamit niya ay kinukuhanan natin ng info. Hindi kasi siya ang first-hand noong sasakyan,” said Fernando. “Kung kanino niya ito binili, hinahanap din ýon kung saan. Kaso negative pa kasi lahat daw ng papeles ay na kay Catherine.”
According to Catherine’s mother, Rosario, she also did not meet the person she was supposed to see in Batangas City.
“Doon ho sa Balisong Channel, sabi parang matagal na daw ho silang walang contact. Hindi ko ho maalala kung ano yung pangalang sinambit niya na iyon talaga. May tinuran ho siya sa aking pangalan, talaga hong yung sinabi niyang pangalan. Hindi ko ho alam, malaman ho laang namin na maayos siya ‘yon ho’y kasayahan na namin,” said Rosario.
Mary Rose Rivero, station manager of Balisong Channel, clarified that Catherine did not go to their office on Thursday, Oct 12.
