Caravan of Marcos-Duterte tandem in QC swarmed, causing traffic

Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte-Carpio have already started touring Metro Manila on Wednesday, marching in Quezon City.

Earlier, supporters of the so-called “uniteam” had gathered in front of the Commission on Audit building on Commonwealth Avenue.

When Marcos and Duterte-Carpio arrived for their first caravan in Metro Manila, the eastbound lane of the Commonwealth was almost full.

The motorcade was stuck in the Commonwealth for more than 3 hours, and the traffic reached as far as Quezon Avenue.

Other supporters were waiting at the end of the motorcade at Welcome Rotonda.

It was past 1 pm when the motorcade reached Welcome Rotonda, the last stop of the caravan.

But some supporters were disappointed because the tandem did not continue there.

This large caravan was allegedly not appropriately coordinated with the Quezon City LGU.

The uniteam camp apologized to motorists, travelers, the city government, and even the MMDA.
