Marcos appoints Paul Soriano as adviser for creative communications

It is a great honor for the new presidential adviser for creative communications, Director Paul Soriano, to be able to serve the people, as well as the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., according to his Instagram post after his swearing-in this Monday, October 17.

“It’s an absolute honor to be able to serve, first and foremost, of course, for the country and then of course for the PBBM administration…” according to his caption. Attached are photos of his oath to PBBM, who is their godfather, at the wedding of his wife, Toni Gonzaga. PBBM is also his uncle because he is the husband of his aunt, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, who is the first cousin of the director’s father.

Marcos appoints Paul Soriano as adviser for creative communications

Soriano was one of the choices to become Press Secretary following the resignation of Trixie Cruz-Angeles from the position.

The director rejected it because he said there were many more qualified for this position.

It can be remembered that Soriano played a big role in UniTeam’s campaign during the last election, which received a terrible bash on social media.

Meanwhile, Director Paul Soriano’s new position as the president’s creative communications adviser would only pay him P1 per year.

“One of the greatest assets of the Filipino is our creativity, and we must find many ways to highlight that to the rest of the world. And that is what Paul Soriano has already been doing in his career as a filmmaker. And now we have asked him to help us at one peso per year,” Marcos said.

Malacanang reports that Soriano would give Marcos advice and support on subjects that will enhance their information dissemination programs and initiatives, as well as ministries and agencies, including government-owned and controlled enterprises.
