It has been proven that Romualdez can unite the different parties, the congressman added.

Velasco also announced that the NUP would be among the most prominent political parties in the 19th Congress regarding the number of parties that won congress members in the recent elections.

It will be recalled that Romualdez was among the three chosen to be speakers under the Duterte administration.

Eventually, Allan Peter Cayetano and Lord Allan Velasco agreed to split the term as speaker, while Romualdez was appointed majority leader.

Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who again won the Pampanga congresswoman, and former speaker of the assembly, is also expected to be a candidate as the leader of the House in the 19th Congress.

Following the lead in the unofficial tally on the results of Election 2022, Marcos Jr. visited the grave of his father, former President Marcos Sr., in the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

On the former senator’s Facebook page this Wednesday, you can see photos of Bongbong offering flowers at the grave of the elderly Marcos when he went to the Libingan on Tuesday.

Despite criticisms and objections from the victim of Martial Law, the remains of Marcos Sr. were laid to rest at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in 2016. after outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte allowed it.

The younger Marcos then insisted that his father had the right to be buried there because he was a former president and soldier.
